Cuteness !

What is New?

Well Scott has been feeling under the weather, but getting better.
Conrad is his usual self.
I was a little under the weather too, but bettter as well.
Mom is doing good, as good as expected dealing with her new diet of almost no sugar.  I say almost because sugar is in almost everything.  But she is better too.

Other than that, I am making cards, and cleaning my craft room.
Looking forward to a weekend visit from my good friend Donna.

The little toys on the softie book were so adorable that I had to doodle them up.
This is a one of a kind art card, I absolutely love it.

I just relish the way the texture of the cardstock brings them to life just a little.

Makes me think hard about designing my own stamps....

Such cuties

I was sad to see Paper Source in Bellevue leave.  In the final days, I scooped up some great deals.  This book was 50% off and there were also some button making kits too.  I know a few crafty friends and thought these are perfect.

For this book, I actually thought of one gal in particular whose birthday was yesterday.  If I had any inclination to sew, I would sew the little tooth pillow in a NY second.

This is a funny mural where I picked up Conrad.
And the grounds are very nice too!

I wish I could run through the woods and play laser tag all day!

Well, the photo show a huge smile, but what is all over his face too, is dirt!  This kid played hard today!
He had the 2 largest bowls of spaghetti EVER tonight.
Sleep well little man, sleep well.

Monday..

This is what I saw Monday afternoon at the dentist.  This office had really cool films over skylights that was a lovely sky and flowers with hummingbirds.

Reality, greyish and overcast with rain, with a side of pain.

What is it?

Okay, I have no idea what this weird loom this is really for, yarn I think..
I put it on my moms wall and hung her neclaces

I love seeing other styles and working with different techniques.

Cards & Copics

Conrad and I had the best time today visiting the Seattle A Muse Rubber Stamp Store.
I broke down and bought a few Copic Markers for blendable coloring on inked images.  They had a buy 12 get a cheaper price.  And with the cute stamp kits I purchased, I need them to color the little critters.

This is the card I made for my mom my first go at the markers.
Love, Love, Love the Sailboat stamp.
The second I saw it I wanted to stamp striped and dotted paper and make this card.  Easy breezy card.

This card is inspired from the AMuse catalog and Card Ideas book.
Their version has a pearl for the gem and a large cream knot ribbon for my smaller striped one.

Yes, even more cards...

What can I tell you?  I have been wanting to make another Crabby Card for sometime..
I may still change it up.
And awhile back I purchased the spiders. They come in a pack of six, so they are a bargain and perfect for a card kit.  The Bazil pleated dictionary trim was so cool I had to do a card with it.  The diecut cards with the circle cut, they were on sale so I was ready to go.

Love this: Adoption Wall Art!

I asked Conrad if he believed in God.
He said, "YES."
I asked,
"Why do you believe?"
"I don't know, I just do."

Do you know how I believe in God?"
"How?"
"I asked him for a boy."
"And you have me!"

"Aunt Kim, there could be another explanation."
"What is that?"

"Fate."

"Yes, but who is the one that dictates my fate?"
"God" He answered.

This is just wonderful.  I was just looking around and saw this.
I will be sure to tell Conrad this when I pick him up this evening from school!

Tonight's Card: Paper Airplane Card

You know who this is for - All the Missouri folk.
Miss you guys!

I just love the paper airplane stamps by Lawn Fawn.
Wen I saw the new Studio Calico cut shapes of the states, I immediately thought of sending a message state to state by paper airplane as a card design.

I was disappointed when the Studio Calico states arrived.  They are so cute, however, not all of the states were cut from map like paper, and my Missouri was missing a little bit off of it.  So I traced aroud the shapes
(and fixed Missouri as I drew) and cut them onto travel paper that I already have, and affixed to another tan sheet of paper.

I will post all of the supplies listing later.

Card, cards, more cards

A card club class is coming up and I was inspired to make up some cards!  I want to make some more tonight, and I plan to make even more next weekend.  I will choose a few for the class.  I am so inspired to a make a ton!  having so much fun.  Conrad is having fun stamping too!

testing some of my ink pad colors

Card that I am still working on the design.  The ink color is not quite right yet for the greeting. Maybe I will keep it this way.  Not sure.

A glossy effect that I smeared, so it is not perfected yet.

4th of July card.  It is okay.  I like the plane and banner concept I had.

Love this card.  When I saw the "i love hanging out with you" stamp, it made me think of Scott immediately.  So of course it was a must have item.  Later I found the parachuters and remembered that stamp would be perfect with them. I think it is pretty unique, and I do think this it is quite cute.

This Birthday card is a front runner for the class.  I have kits ready.  It is simple and fast,  just a little coloring and, how cut is the stamp (Available @ MadScrapper Issaquah $1.99) , You don't have to spend a ton to handmade cute cards.  The FunFetti paper pack of 6x6 paper was under $6.  So for about $7 you can make a ton of cute cards with also cut mini enclosure gift tags too!

Detail of the cupcake cutie

And a card I made for my personal collection (not going to make a kit for this one)

Little ghostie is "popped up" with a mini foam square.

Another Halloween cutie with a starry background.

This lilac is from a Stampin' up set.  I rarely use my stampin' up stamps.
This lilac is a favorite of my mom's.

This baby gift enclosure card is very small and just adorable.  Since I don't have the Copic blendable markers, I dot or check the marker application so as not to overwhelm the delicate little characters.
